My main cleaning mantra is simple: Make it easy. The best way to make cleaning your floor easy is to buy a DustBuster, or other small, hand-held cordless vacuum. When you’re shopping, don’t get distracted by vacuums’ bells and whistles. You want something cheap that has some power and can pick up stray dirt and hair. That’s it. Under no circumstances should you be paying more than $40.
I’ve used a 7.2-volt DustBuster for more than two years. According to the Amazon reviews, my machine is a piece of crap, but I don’t really have any complaints. It holds a charge reasonably well and it helps keep the floor clean. That’s all I ask of my DustBuster.
Keep it in the bathroom. Every few days, take 30 seconds to vacuum up the hairs that have appeared and stand out against your white floor. It’s that simple.
